Strings: my current summer afternoon vibe (chap 2)

Bonjour.

My life lately consists of sleeping a lot and eating too much. Yes, after I went back from the beach last week, I haven't felt like studying and going back to normal. I'm still on beach-high!

Today, I feel sooooooo fat and ugly. I mean, really. And did you ever feel like you hate everyone? Because I do. Sometimes, I feel like I want to delete all my social media accounts Hahahahahaha. Anyway, I'm currently studying for my quiz tomorrow on Liabilities. I swear, I cannot keep up anymore. I just want to finish everything up and go to somewhere far.

Right now, all I want in life is to look for someone whom I can actually talk to about life and forget about people and everything around me. I want to get lost in a moment. I want to be free.

Love,
Patricia

P.S. I'm currently listening to Imagine Dragon's Polaroid and it sounds so good.

Strings: My current summer afternoon vibe (chap 1)

Hello!

I'm too lazy to move out of bed again. Haha! As what you've noticed, I made small changes into my blog space, trying to get into the "twenties-mood" huh, I still wanted something minimalistic and clean. I plan to share more photos now but I still don't have my photoshop and lightroom installed, so some of my photos may suck (at least, for a while). Anyway, what have I been up to since April started? Nothing. Now that, I guess, I have finally moved on to my Graduation Euphoria, I am currently having my lamentations for holy week. Kidding. I am actually having the great staycation (And I'm dying). To be honest, I couldn't wait any longer to go somewhere this summer. Ughhhhhhhh! BUT, my mom told me it's Holy Week so I should stay at home and pray. I am totally respecting that.

So now, I am currently reading; Junot Diaz's This is how you lose her, I'm not yet done with it but so far, it's a good read! It gets really boring at home, I'm probably going to be really fat when I come back to school on Wednesday.

I have a lot of plans this summer, I'll tell you more about it after holy week. Plus, more posts are coming (I've been thinking about it since the start of the year!). Moreover, I'm going to post more of this "my summer afternoon vibes", you better expect to see more photos of what I'm currently reading (or doing). Thank you for keeping up with my rants today. I just got really bored.

Young Adult Fictions

I've been reading a lot of YA books lately and I fell in love with the genre completely. To tell you honestly, at first I really like Chick-Lit, I read books of Sophie Kinsella and Meg Cabot because I really love their wits, I love how they are funny and romantic at the same time. Those were the days of high school, when everything's very light for me. Hence, I was really surprised by my sudden love of YA fictions. One friend told me, maybe the books we read define our moods or feelings at the moment. Maybe, she's right, maybe YA books touched me a lot because at some point the words hit me.

The thing about YA books, is that they always make me cry (hahaha!). John Green and David Levithan makes me cry. Even, Karen Thompson made me cry. I always think that YA books have higher depth than that of Scifi novels which I'm really not a fan of (Modesty aside). I like books that touch me, I like books that relate with me, the one speaking through me. That's why Scifi and Thriller never appealed to me. Sorry

Young Adult fiction taught me about life in general and how to deal with it. I love how I always smell things written in the books, Cigarettes most especially. I love how it's very individual and how it encompasses love and life in a different way.

“I'm sorry, but I don't get it. If we're supposed to ignore everything that's wrong with our lives, then I can't see how we'll ever make things right.”

― A.S. King, Please Ignore Vera Dietz

But of course we have different tastes, so I can never really judge the books you read because I know they are as amazing as the person reading it. The People who read are always the most beautiful people. So whatever floats your boat then that's it. Don't worry, Hunger Games and Divergent series are my guilty pleasure books too (they are Scifi by the way).

Sorry if this post bores you too much. Lol! I am such a downer, I know. I just hope you love reading too. There's something about reading that makes me feel smarter everyday (haha!). It compensates my lack of grammar skills, math skills and not to mention my Graphical Anxiety. (I hope my management science teacher knows this). --- I always tell myself to live life the way I read a book. I wish you do too.

Two words: Keep Reading.
